With over 20 years behind the chair, Chris Dawson knows a thing or two about good hair. Having built his career in some of ththeost respected salonhe’s he developed reputation for creative colour, precision cutting a,nd an eye for the find details that make the difference between a haircut you like and one you genuinely love.
An award-winning stylist and certified Wella Professionals Hair Consultant, Chris combines technical expertise with a refreshingly down-to-earth approach. He'ss passionate about beautiful, wearable hair, but equally interested in the person wearing it After all, the best results start with understanding what someone actually wants, rather than deciding for them.
That philosophy led him to create Dawson Hair & Imaging, his own private, one-chair studio in Brighton’s north aine Considered approach to hairdressing, where appointments aren’t rushed, conversations aren’t competing with half a dozen hairdryers, and every client has their undivided attention.
For Chris, great hairdressing has never been about getting as many people through the door as possible. It’s about taking the time to get things right, building genuine relationships and making sure every client leaves feeling like themselves - just with considerably better hair.

Goal
The aim hasn’t changed since the studio opened on Trafalgar Street in 2017: deliver high-end colour and cutting without the high-street price tag or the performance. Chris works one-to-one, books by app or WhatsApp, and keeps the focus where it belongs — on your hair, not the hustle around it.
